Furnistore is a
registered charity serving the residents of East Surrey,
with origins
going back to 1994. We get given generous
donations, from local residents, of good quality
unwanted second hand items of Furniture and
Household goods.
These,
depending on
circumstances, are either then distributed
free of
charge or at
50% discounted price to those on
low
income - To cover the cost of running our
charity (which includes the running of our
warehouse
and van), we also sell to the
general
public both through our
warehouse/showroom which is open
Mon-Fri 10:00-4:00pm and Sat 10:00-2:00pm
(check
opening times), and occasionally via
other means. For items we collect we do ask
for a donation
to help cover the running costs of our van, but only
from those that can afford to do so, this is
voluntary. For delivery we charge a flat rate of
£10.
During 2010, donations and purchases helped
provide 1100+ items of both free and subsidised furniture
to those experiencing hardship - Your generosity and
support helps our local community. |

Furnistore is East Surrey's local furniture re-use organisation.
As a registered charity, our main aim is to provide people on 'low incomes' with good usable furniture. In doing this we also help the environment by preventing unwanted furniture from going to landfill (a major problem in the South-East of England).
|
|
However, we also sell donated furniture to support our
activities, and if you are looking for a bargain, or a piece of
furniture with a little more character, please phone on
01737-773133 / 08450-544089 or pop in to our
Redhill warehouse
- Mon-Fri, 10am-4pm, and open Sat (see times)
The 'Stock'
website option is not live yet, we have just started
using our new inventory system (as of Jan 2012) and it is our aim to
show all our available stock by the end of Feb 2012. |
