 Pre-Assessment Check

At present you cannot fill this form in online, please pop into visit us during our assessment times, with your 3 documents detailed below and we help you fill out the necessary form.

Discounts are available from Furnistore if you are in receipt of one of the listed means tested benefits shown below and you must also be registered for council tax / live in E.Surrey for one of the council areas also listed below (also see our coverage map).

To verify this we need you to turn up in person to be assessed Mon-Thurs 10-2pm or Fri 10-1pm.  In either case you need to bring 3 recent documents showing your benefits and proof of address (acceptable documents are shown below).

If you do not qualify for a discount, do not worry, you are still welcome to visit us and make any purchases you wish at our very good displayed charity prices.

PLEASE NOTE: We have recently had a few customers expecting assessments and discounts when visiting Furnistore on Saturday. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT DO ASSESSMENTS OR DISCOUNTED SALES ON SATURDAY. If you feel you need an assessment please visit Furnistore and you are welcome to buy goods using your qualified discount Monday to Friday but all sales on Saturday will be at ticket price.

Assessments times are:-

  • Mon-Thurs 10:00am-2:00pm

  • Fri 10:00am-1:00pm (not Sat)

You MUST personally live in one of these council tax areas to qualify for discount

  • Reigate and Banstead BC

  • Tandridge DC

  • Mole Valley DC -> SEE MAP

You need 3 documents in order to have an assessment with us

  • A letter dated in the last 3 months stating which benefit you’re in receipt of and how much you get.
     

  • A letter with proof of address

    • ALLOWED: Tenancy Agreement, Utility Bill, Bank/Credit card statement

    • NOT Allowed: Mobile bill
       

  • A recent bank statement – Proof of the last 3 months (Which your benefits are paid into)

The proof of benefits and address cannot be the same letter and all three documents must have your current and the same address on.

The following benefits are acceptable for discount

  • Jobseekers allowance

  • Income Support

  • ESA (Employment & Support Allowance)

  • Working Tax Credits

  • Pension Tax Credits

  • Incapacity Benefit

The following benefits are not accepted

  • Child Tax Credits

  • Child Benefit

  • Housing Benefit

  • Council Tax Benefit

  • DLA

  • Normal State Pension


Please allow 15-30 minutes for an assessment, in busy periods you may be asked to wait.

You cannot use your assessment discount until 24 hours after the form is completed.
Monday-Thursday your assessment will be valid the next working day
and if your assessed on Friday it will be valid the following Monday.


You can reserve items for 24 hours.
