WE ARE NOW OPEN 10-4pm on SAT - from 30th Mar 2013
For the summer we are staying opening later on Saturdays, and were are now open until 4pm six days a week - Mon-Sat.

NEW VAN - Has now been "wrapped" (21st
Mar 2013) -

To make our new van distinctively we have had it "wrapped" with our logo and wording to
show how we Support the local community and also with various logos of the organisations that support us
and helped us purchase our new van.

MARCH SALE with Bring and Buy - was on 23rd Mar 2013
We are had our March 50% off
everything sale (white good not included in the sale) along with
our previously successful Bring / Buy sale and also Refreshments
|

NEW VAN - Has been delivered (22nd Feb 2013) -

Thanks go to all who helped fund raise, donated or gave their time for our new van fund,
it now been delivered and signage will be added very shortly. A new van will make such a difference to us and the local community that we serve. Our old van was becoming prohibitively costly and unreliable, which is why we had to replace it.

As of 2nd Jan 2013, we are sorry, but we can no longer accept cheques for payment - we do take Debit or Credit card
for a small charge of £1 and we will still also take cash. |

- We had a very successful sale on Sat 1st Dec , Plus a great Bring
and Buy Sale section - Many thanks go our
staff and volunteer helpers on the day, it was a very hectic
start as usual. |

RECENT NEW VAN FUND SALE - Was
a great success.
- We had a very successful summer sale,
Plus a great Bring
and Buy Sale section and a
Raffle Draw for a
Hamper / other prizes, we sold 540 raffle tickets.

David Clark ran / completed the 2012 London marathon
in under 7 hours (finishing at 5pm) - He was fundraising in
support of Furnistore, and has raised over £880 (as
of 1st May) so
far on his
Virgin Money Giving donation web page.

We are now live with our new computer system
- All of our stock was bar code labelled
before our Christmas break for use with our new
computer system, which is now being used live (as of 3rd Jan
2012). When the normal teething troubles
have been sorted out we will then be in a position
to start taking photos of our stock. These
will automatically be uploaded in real-time to our
website, allowing anyone to see our stock via the web
and to also reserve / request stock on-line. |

- Following our
recent burglary, we have reviewed our security
procedures with the local police and have now
installed new security equipment - The new IP
cameras have motion detection with immediate
off-site secure storage of images taken. |

would like to recruit some volunteers who need experience for
their DofE - Charity DofE Award experience in Surrey - this experience would also look good on your
CV or UCAS application - See our

Are given free, by Furnistore, to
those in most need.
Catriona one of our regular donators organised her
husband Andrew's recent 50th birthday Party where guests
were asked instead of a present to make up a
"hygiene" pack for Furnistore. Guests came to Brooklands
Museum armed with carrier bags full of
towels, toothbrushes, shampoo etc. 46 packs were
made up in total
- Many thanks to all for their very
generous gift - especially to Catriona and Andrew.

- We now accept payments by debit and credit cards
(only VISA, MASTERCARD and Maestro). As we are
a charity, we do need to make a charge for using
this payment method:-
- Credit and Debit cards: £1 charge.
We do still also accept cash or cheques
(but will need to allow clearing time). |

- On 14th Feb
2011,
SRN
was launched,
which is affiliated to
FRN (Furniture Reuse
Network). This is a network of the
six furniture reuse projects in Surrey
- helping those on low incomes and the environment,
collectively working together reducing landfill by giving unwanted items of furniture a new lease of life
at significantly reduced cost to the general public.
