Vacancies - Fundraiser

To enable us to further develop our charity work, we are looking for a new enthusiastic fundraiser.  This position will require submitting applications for grants (new and existing), find and pursue new avenues of funding and to organise/coordinate a variety of fundraising events.

Working with the Trustees and the manager, the fundraiser will set up a fundraising team probably from our (or new) volunteer base.  The team will arrange fund raising events which will attract some funding, but primarily publicity for Furnistore and the charity service we provide.  Also to establish contact with relevant local (and further afield) businesses to raise sponsorship and develop associations with other agencies and grant giving bodies to raise funds in the medium and long term.

You will be responsible for ensuring all legal compliance is met at fundraising events.  The fundraiser will meet with the manager/trustees on a regular basis to ensure all aspects of the fundraising meet with the orgnisation's strategy.

This position is regarded as very important by the board to the future of our charity and can either be on a commission / low basic / freelance basis (to be negotiated) or a new voluntary Trustee board position can be created depending on the applicant and their situation/requirements.
