YOU GET EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR DofE AWARD


Surrey DofE award charity experience

Furnistore would like to recruit some volunteers who need experience for their DofE, Duke of Edinburgh's Award -  this experience would also look good on your CV or UCAS application - We are particularly in need for people interested or willing to help out in:-

  • Photography of Stock,
         - (used in the link our new computer system to our website stock page).
  • Bar code labelling of our Stock
  • Listing collectible items on eBay.
  • Helping out in our warehouse, showroom or on van runs.
  • Customers service - taking clients calls.
  • Updating our Twitter and Facebook feeds.
  • Making craft items from recycled materials for us to sell
    - (e.g. Draft excluders / Cushions from old curtains)
  • Delivering leaflets and flyers to the local area.
  • Collecting / putting together our 'packs' - Starter, Hygiene, Kitchen and Bedding
  • Host fundraising events to enable us to help/support the local community

We currently have over 700 hrs/mth (at Aug 2011) of volunteer time and are looking to increase this by the end of 2011 to over 1,000 hrs/mth - See other info.
